Name: Keiahni [KEY-uh-nee]
Race: Earth Elemental Spirit Age: 111 Gender: Genderfluid. She/He/They Description: She has limited shape shifting abilities. She is indifferent to pronouns, as she is a shape shifting elemental she has no one true gender. She almost never shifts into a form with any sort of genitals or breasts. Her original form is similar to that of a will o the wisp and is slightly blue, mostly green in color. She shape shifts into a variety of forms, but most will have an earthy/plant tone. She cannot shape shift into animals (other than humans) or into any other elemental type of being, but she can shift into trees and plants. She changes between spirit and material forms, but is more often in material form and usually just uses her spirit form to float/fly. She usually has blue-green, green, or hazel eyes and a long, smooth nose. She is very partial to green hair, from pastel to dark moss. Sometimes light yellows and browns are added in the hair color as well. Her hair is usually short in a more masculine cut, sometimes just barely curling around her ears, other times getting closer to her shoulders. It generally has wavy texture but sometimes it will be more curly. Every now and then she will shift into having longer hair. If in an humanesque form, Keiahni generally sticks around the height 5'11" and wears it elegantly. She takes on thinner forms with soft bodies who appear around the human ages 20-26. Her ears are almost always pointed. Her skin color is generally darker earthy tones with even darker freckles. Most often, she does not appear completely human and adds her own elemental flair. She may have twigs and leaves growing out of her hair, or her arm will appear to be turning into a tree. Sometimes many of her body parts seem to be made of earth and plants. Her clothes are sometimes fashioned from plant matter that appears to be growing out of her body. Otherwise she wears simple, soft, and loose clothing. She is extremely interested in the human tradition of tattooing. She often shifts into forms she gives tattoos; most are copies of ones she saw before, but she creates a few of her own as well. She is minorly interested in body piercings, and sometimes will put a few studs and bars in her ears, a few times on her eyebrow and lip. Her voice is somewhere in between soft and hard, feminine and masculine, but her laugh sounds like crystals. |
Background: There was a man who was constantly and terribly depressed about the state of the world and how humans and others treat the earth. His name was Voikor and one day he finally decided to leave modern society and live among the wild. He learned how to understand plants and animals, so he made friends with them and traveled to different forests around the world. He made deep bonds with many living beings, but one was the most important. A Japanese maple of the name Koisu formed an incredibly strong connection with Voikor. They spent a lot of time together and he decided to stop travelling so much. They understood each other on different levels, and they fell in love. it was such a pure earthly love, this love between a man and a tree, that something beautiful was born from it. They never knew their feelings and connections created an earth elemental spirit, and went on loving each other until they died, content with their lives. The spirit then wandered around attempting to find their purpose and figure out themself. They spent years discovering their abilities but didnt interact with other beings much. They fashioned a name for themself - Keiahni. After discovering their skills in shape shifting, that was always their main focus. They tested the limits and found they could only take humanesque or earthly plant forms as a material body. Their spirit form seemed to have a lot more flexibility, but most humans and other races could not see them in that form, only beings with an affinity to the earth element or those with the sight to see spirits. Still in their earlier years, they kept mostly to their spirit form because they were anxious to interact with other beings besides plants and trees. Keiahni was afraid to enter the world of humans because they heard of the terrible things people could do to the earth. The earth is a part of them, and they are a part of the earth so it made them uncomfortable that people would be so willing to hurt such a beautiful thing. Plant empathy was the next skill to be honed. It came very naturally to them and they did not have to practice it as much as shape shifting. So they had many friends among the plants, but took after their father and traveled the forests of the world, trying to aid the earth where they could. Eventually, they discovered the skill of terraportation. WIP |
